+ Write an exposition of 80 to 100 words from pictures and words cues

+ Writing skills : guided writing skills

*Vocabulary : specialties, disappointed, interest, mention.

* Grammar: - Present perfect and past simple ( irregular verbs )

2. Skills: writing skill

3. Attitudes:

- Positive about their lesson.

- Students know how to learn English.

- Ss are interested in doing exercises.

4. Competence

a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and

problem solving ability.

b. Specilized capacity: language capability

Write a letter to your family - Ask ss to retell the structures of a letter A. Heading : Writer's address and the date B. Opening : Dear..., C. Body of the letter D. Closing : Your friend / Regard / Love Give ss some necessary words - specialties (n) - disappointed(a) - interest (v) - mention (v) Repeat the new words in chorus While - Writing: - T give the extra board and require Ss to work individually to write a letter to their family Suggestedwriting: (adress) Dear,......... V. CONSOLIDATION + T correct and say somewords about S’s letter VI. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge : - By the end of the lesson, ss will have a good chance to review: + Ask and answer the questions using the past simple tense and the given information + Write sentences using the word and picture cues + Talk about their wishes using the situations * Vocabulary: - Review all vocabulary * Grammar: - Present perfect and past simple ( irregular verbs ), “wish”. 2. Skills: writing skill 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and problem solving ability. b. Specilized capacity: language capability II. PREPARATION 1. New lesson Warm up: Ss play Matching Language focus 1: The past simple tense - Hang the picture ( Exercise 2) and present the situation :( See you again Maryam) - Ask Ss to work in pairs to match the verbs to the things in the table then change the verbs into the past simple forms - Ask Ss to work in pairs to change the verbs into the past simple forms hang a cake make flowers buy a picture of Ha noi go colorful lamps paint shopping - Require give the name the picture and complete the picture 1. She made a cake 2. He hung colorful lamps 3. She went shopping 4. He painted a picture of Ha Noi 5. They bought some flowers Language focus 3: - T hang a picture (a short boy) and asks Ss to look at the picture and answer the Qs + Is he tall? – No + Is he happy ? – No + What does he have in his mind ? => “I wish I were taller” - T present wish S + wish(es) + S +V(past simple) bewere ( not “was”) Eg: I wish I had a new bike I wish I were a teacher - Ask ss to work in pairs to write the sentences * Key: b) I wish I were in the swimming pool now. c) I wish I had a computer. d) I wish I lived near school. e) I wish I had a sister. f) I wish I drew well. g) I wish I had my friend's phone number. h) I wish I knew many friends. I) I wish there were rivers and lakes in my hometown. V. CONSOLIDATION + Ask ss to retell the main content of the Language focus VI. HOMEWORK + Do these exercies again in the book, and do exercises in the workbook + Prepare for the next lesson : Unit 2 : “Getting started + Listen and read”
