places on the bus route with the letters on the map.

Where is Ba’s home village? 2. How far is it from his house to his village ? 3. How does Ba’s get there? 4. How long does it take to get there? Pre - speaking: - Ss read the suggestion in A and B - T explains some words and phrases , the questions. - T guides Ss to make up the dialogue about the home village .Ss read the dialouge - Asking Ss some questions about the countryside: Example: + Where is your home village? + What can you see on the way to your village? + How far is it from the city? + Are there any interesting places in your village? While speaking : a/ Work with a partner : - T guides Ss to practice. Ss ask and T answers about home village - Ss work in pairs to practice . - Having Ss read the questions in exercise a – page 24, work in pairs, ask and answer about their partner’s home village, using information in the box. - Telling Ss to cover the role that they don’ts play. Example: A: Where is your home village? B: It’s to the west of the city. Post - speaking : - Ss talk about their home village. - Ss repeat their friends’ sentences with he or she. Pre - listening : - T gives the words in the countryside - T gives the situation and guides Ss to do ex Ss describle the map. - Ss guess where they are.T gives some words in the tape (bridge/ banyan tree/ airport/ gas station/ pond/ bamboo forest ) While - listening: - Introducing the text: You will listen to the trip to Ba’s village - Asking Ss to look at the map, guessing where the places on the map are and compare with their partners. - Then match the names with the map, Ss listen 2 times . Then listen in small part - Ss exchange the answer and give the result . Keys: : A: Banyan tree F: Store B: Airport G: Pond C: Highway No 1 H: Bamboo forest D: Dragon Bridge I: Parking lot E: Gas station Post - listening : - Having SS listening to the tape and check their predictions. - Give students a gap- fill exercise to review some prepositions of time and prepositions of place: Exercise 1: Fill some prepositions of time and prepositions of place: ____(1) 6:30 ____(2) the morning, the bus collected Ba and his family._____(3) about 20 minutes _____(4) the Highway No.1, the bus stopped ____(5) the gas station to get some more fuel. Pre- reading : - Introducing the text: - Having Ss tell the class : +What they know about life in the country on the farm ? + What do people do? + How do they relax? (pair word) - Ss listen and find out the words . T introduces some words and phrases - Ss guess the meaning of these words ( exchange/ maize / grocery / hot dogs) While - reading : a. Matching - Asking Ss to read the text to answer the questions: 1. How long will Van stay there? 2. What do Mr. and Mrs. Paker do? 3. How many children do they have? 4. What does Van do after finishing his homework? 5. How does the Parker family spend their weekend? - Giving feedback: 1. He will stay there till the beginning of October. 2. Mr. Parker is a farmer and Mrs. Parker works part time at a grocery store. 3. Two girls. 4. He feeds the chicken and collects their eggs. 5. They eat hamburger or hot dog while they watch Peter play. - Asking Ss to work in pairs read the text and match the words in column A with the explanation in column B.Giving feedback.
