- Ask ss to do exercise complete the sentences with “since” or “for”.

- Introduce the new lesson by some questions. 
- What do you do remember about the shopping mall we learned last period? 
- Besides its positive effects, does it bring about any negative ones?- What 
are they? 
- Introduce the new lesson: “As we know, the new shopping mall has 
affected the small shops. Therefore, these store owners organize a meeting to 
discuss the effects of the new shopping mall”. 
- T explains new words

 - Ask ss to look at the notice and tell the parts of the notice

Activity 3. Practice 
- Ask ss to look at exercise in part 2 at page 68. 
- Explain the requirement of exercise in part 2. 
- Guide ss “based on the above notice, you write a similar notice for the 
english speaking club about the english speaking contest” 
- Asks ss to work in groups of four. 
- Call the leader of each group to give writing. 
- Remark and correct answers.

Holding a speaking contest to celebrate the teacher’s day.
