Knowledge: - Have a brief overview about the topic “ Our greener world”. - Use the lexical items related to the topic “Our Greener World”. - Get some specific information about how to be “green”. 2. Competence: communication, ability to use language, self-study, co-operation 3. Qualities: industriousness, responsibility, honesty. 4. Skill: reading, speaking. 5. Grammar: present simple tense, modal verbs. B. Teaching aids: textbook, projector, computer. C. Procedures I. Warm up: Chatting ? Do you want to become green? ? What can you do to become green? ? Are there any 3Rs club in your school? II. Pre- reading 1. Activity one: Matching - Ask students to read and match the words with their meaning in pairs Answer key: Words Meaning Creative unique and interesting Charity giving things to people in need Swap give something to a person and receive something from him/her Reusable can be used again Recycling bins containers for things that can be recycled 2. Activity 2: True/ false statements prediction. - Tell Ss that they are going to read some tips that can help them to become "green" - Run through all the statements. - Guess if they are right or wrong. 1. Talk to friends about putting recycle bins in every classroom. 2. Reuse pens and pencils. 3. Use plastic bottles instead of reusable water ones. 4. Plant vegetables for your own. 5. Cycle more. Ss can underline parts of the text that helped them with the answers. Set a strict time limit to ensure Ss read quickly for information. - Ask ss to compare their answers before giving the answers to T. - Ask them to give evidence when giving the answers. - Students work in groups and answer the questions by playing games “Lucky numbers”. - The group with more points is the winner. Activity 2: Speaking Find out creative way to reuse items - Work in groups and find creative ways to reuse the items indicated in the book. - Ask students to work in groups in 8 minutes. - Ask them to list out the ways to reuse the items creatively. - Ask them to present their answers. - The group having the most creative ways wins. Creative way to reuse: a. old envelopes b. used water bottles c. used textbooks III. Post – reading 1. Activity 1 : Chain game ( vocabulary). 2. Activity 2: Discussion - Ask ss to work in groups to discuss if they can follow the tips in the reading part and give out the reasons for their answers. - Discuss and put the tips in order from the easiest to the most difficult. ? Explain the reasons for your order. - Write your groups list on the board. D. Homework 1. Learn by heart vocabulary. 2. Do exercises on your Workbook. 3. Prepare: Skills 2. Period 92nd Planning date: 24/04/21 UNIT 11: OUR GREENER WORLD Lesson 6: Skills 2 A. Objectives: I. Knowledge: By the end of this lesson, students will able to: - Listen to get specific information about ways to make the school a “green’ place. - Use the lexical items related to the topic “Our greener world” - Write about ideas to make a school green. II. Competence: groupwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence. III. Qualities : responsibility, honesty, industriousness. IV. Skill : Listening, writing and speaking. V. Grammar point: Conditional sentences – type 1 B. Teaching aids: Text book, picture, tape, cassette, board, chalk. C. Procedures: I. Warm up 1. Chatting : T divides students into three groups Students work in groups and talk about two famous TV programmes for children again for three minutes. T calls some students in each group to talk again in front of class. T gives feedback. II. Pre – listening. 1. Matching A B 1. Suggested questions: Are you creative? Do you want our school to be a ‘green’ place? What will you do if you become the president? II. While- listening. 1. Listen to two Ss talking about what they will do if they become the president. Put the words or a number in each blank to complete the table. - Have Ss guess the word/number to fill in each blank and write on the board. - Play the recording and ask Ss to listen to check their guess. - Ask for Ss’ answers and write them on the board next to their guesses Key: 1. 6A 5. 6E 2. Period 93rd Planning date: 25/04/21 Unit 11: OUR GREENER WORLD Lesson 7: Looking back + Project A. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: 1. Knowledge: - Have a brief overview of several greener world - Use the lexical items related to the topic “Greener world “ - Use conditional type 1 - Speak about the greener world 2. Competence: Communication, self-learning, problem solving, cooperation capability. creative capacity 3. Quality: Patriotism, studious, responsible and honest - Specialized competency: - Use English well 4. Skills: speaking, writing 5.Grammar points: conditional type 1 B. TEACHING AIDS: Posters ,textbook, pictures, projector, loudspeaker. C. PROCEDURES Warm up: chatting Can we reduce water use? How? What kinds of things we can recycle? - Ask 2 - 3 pairs of Ss to practice - Give remarks and marks. I .Activity 1:Vocabulary: 1.Add more words to the word below( Ex 1- p.56) - Play games: brainstorming - T divides the class into 4 teams: A, B,C, D. Four teams write their brainstorming on their posters. The teams with more correct answers and also the faster will be the winner. Suggested: Reduce: water, gas, rubbish, paper, electricity Reuse: envelope, light bulb, can, plastic bag, bottle. Recycle: can, book, plastic box, plastic bag, newspaper. 2. Complete and match the words or phrases. ( Ex 2- p.56) Ss complete then match to each word or phrase from a; with a effect to make a sentence. Ss do this work individually then compare their answers with a partner. - Check Ss' answers. Ask them to write complete sentences in their notebooks. Communication: 1.Interview and note down their answer about making greener world (Ex 6- P.56) - Have Ss work in groups of four. - One student interviews the other 3 group members and note down their answer by using the table in the Ss book Ex 6- p 56. - Move around the class and help Ss if necessary. Some Ss to report the results to the class. Share their answer with the class IV. Activity 4: project Ss go to the board and show their project Give remarks and marks V. Homework: - Summarize the main point of the lesson. - Prepare Unit 12: Getting started Period 94th Planning date: 25/04/21 Unit 12: ROBOTS Lesson 1: Getting started A. Aims: By the end of this lesson, ss will be able to: 1. Knowledge - practice listening, speaking, reading, writing with the lexical items related to the topic “ Robbot”. -Vocabulary: The lexical items related to the topic” Robot” - Pronunciation. 2. Skills: - Listening, speaking, reading, and interactive skill. 3. Attitude: - Ss are interested in “ Robot” - Students know how to learn English in right way. 4. Competency orientation: - General competency: self-learning, problem solving, cooperation capability. - Specialized competency: - Using language to talk about robot 5.Quality: responsibility, hard-working, honesty. B. Preparation 1.Teacher’s preparation: - Teaching aids: CD player, pictures,text book. 2.Students’ preparation: Coursebooks, notebooks C.Procedure 1.
