 - Positive about their lesson.

 - Students know how to learn English.

 - Ss are interested in doing exercises.

 a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and problem solving ability.

Date of teaching: Period 76 - Unit 13. ACTIVITIES B. Come and play (B1) I. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to read the dialogue fluently and answer wh- questions; review some modal verbs. *Vocabulary: must, should, ought to, table tennis paddle, spare. *Grammar: can, should, must, ought to. 2. Skills: reading skill 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. Students’: text book, note book III. METHODS, TECHNIQUES 1. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities, teaching methods by practising, discussion group,. 2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson Ask ss question: What did you eat and drink yesterday? 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - T asks ss play game: Net works swim sports soccer volleyball skip Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills B1. Listen. Then practice with a partner - T asks ss to look at the picture and answer the questions: What are Ba and Nam doing? - T introduces the request of the exercise, ss listen - T reads the dialogue - T gives some new words Ought to ( modal verb): nên Must ( modal verb): phải Have to ( modal verb): phải Paddle (n): vợt bóng bàn Spare (adj): thừa, dư * Grammar - Must, have to: diễn tả sự bắt buộc đến từ phái người nói, bày tỏ cảm xúc và ước muốn của người nói. - Ought to, should: dùng để diễn tả lời khuyên, đề nghị hoặc bổn phận Must/ have to/ ought to/ can/ should + Vinf. - The structure: making invitation + Would you like to play table tennis? I’d like to . + Would you like to + V ? + Accepting: Yes, I,d like to / OK. That is a good idea/ sound great. + Declining: Oh, I am sorry. I can,t / I am afraid I can,t. I have to meet my friends / That is too bad. May be next time. Eg: Would you like to come to my house ? have lunch with me ? Activity 3. Practice - T reads the dialogue again and ss listen and repeat - Call ss read the dialogue before class in pairs - Others give comments - T corrects. Activity 4. Further practice - Ask ss read the dialogue again and find out the answers - Ask ss work in pairs - Call some pairs give the answers - T gives correct a. Nam must finish his home work before he plays table tennis b. Nam will be ready in a few minutes c. Ba will finish a question for Math d. Ba has two paddles Activity 5. Expanding Remind all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home. V. HOMEWORK - Learn by heart all new words and structures - Ss prepare for next lesson: Unit 14. B1.
