Lesson 5: Writing.
A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Knowledge:
write short , simple speech with clear organization and present it in front of the
class .
- Grammar: simple present tense .
- Vocabulary: sum up, get one’s attention, solid, Draft, detail.
2. Competence: Communication, language using ability, self-learning capacity,
creative capacity
3. Quality: hardworking, responsible and honest.
4. Skills: listening and writing
B. Preparation
- Teacher: Textbook, lesson plan, flashcards, laptop, loudspeaker, projector.
- Students: Textbook, notebook, pen
C. Procedures
I. Warm up:
* Networks : go to school by bike
How to save energy ?
*Possible answers
-take shower instead of having a bath . -turn off the lights before leaving your

II. Pre-writing

2. Matching
- Teacher: A speech usually had three parts : Introduction , Body and conclusion
+ Ask students some questions about the functions of each part.

c.What do you do in the conclusion of a speech ?
- Students give their answers
Teacher: Read and match each part of a speech in column A to a suitable

III. While- writing
1. Questions:
Teacher asks some questions about the topic.
a. What do you think about the amount of garbage nowadays ?
b. Why do we have to reduce garbage ?
c. How can you help with reducing garbage ?

a. Every household produces a lot of garbage .
b. Pollute the environment / affect people ,s health
c. Collect plastic bags ,empty cans and bottles send them to factories
for recycling / use cloth bags / not keep solid waste with food waste /
use food waste to feed pigs, chickens and other animals .
2. Writing in groups:
- Teacher tells students to choose one of the topics in the book: reducing
garbage, reusing paper and saving energy in the kitchen and then prepare a
speech for the class.

- Have a volunteer from each group present his/her group’s speech before class.

-Reducing garbage :
Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I am a conservationist and today I am
going to tell you how to reduce the amount of garbage .
You know, nowadays, every household produces a lot of garbage. This not only
pollutes the environment but effects people’s health as well. So it is necessary for
you to reduce the amount of garbage you produce. You can reduce this amount
by :
-Collecting plastic bags, empty cans and bottles then send them to factories for
recycling .
-Using cloth bags instead of plastic bags .
-Not keep solid waste with food waste .
-Using food waste to feed pigs, chickens and other animals .
If you follow these simple rules , not only will reduce the amount of garbage you
produce but your life will be safer.
IV. Post-writing:
*Discussion : Topic: “Why should we save energy ?”
- Ask students to work in group to list the reasons for saving energy .
-Call on some representative of some groups to present in front of class .
-save money .
-conserve the earth’s resources .
-protect environment .
-prevent from natural disasters .
V. Homework
- Learn the new words by heart. Finish the letter into your exercise books.

Lesson 1: Getting stated, listen and read.
A. Objectives: By the end of the lesson , students will be able to know more
about the popular celebrations in the world.
1. Knowledge:
- Grammar: Adverbial clauses of concessions.
- Vocabulary: sticky rice cake , passover , Israel , occur , slavery , joyful .
2. Competences: Co-operation, self-study, communication, creative capacity
3. Qualities: studious, responsible and honest.
4. Skills: Listening, speaking, writing and reading
B. Procedures:
I. Warm up:

*Possible answers :Christmas, Valentine, Easter, Mother's day, Thanksgiving
day, Halloween, Lunar New Year, Mid- fall Festival, Teacher's day, May Day ,

II. Presentation:
