Aims After the lesson Ss can practice prediction in listening comprehension Skills and writing Skills to talk about natural beauty. - Skills: Listening, writing - Teaching aids: Posters, pictures, loudspeaker B. Procedure - T asks Ss to look at it for 2 minutes and try to remember as much as they can. - T asks the class to cover the page and tell T what they remember. - T elicits answers by asking: I. LISTENING: FAMILY TRAVEL - T asks Ss to open their books and read quickly to check their predictions. - T sets 2 minutes limit to ensure Ss read quickly for information. Information: 1. beach 2. hotel 3. resort 4. bay - T asks Ss to read the sentences. - T sets 5 minutes limit for Ss to reread the text and answer T or F. - Ss work individually, then compare the answers with their partners. 1. Aims By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to review the superlative of adjectives and vocabulary about things in nature and travel items, using must or mustn’t - Teaching aids: Posters, pictures, loudspeaker B. Procedure I. Warmer - Name some natural wonders. - Have Ss work in 2teams. - Ss write as many words as possible. II. Vocabulary 1. Aims By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to understand the interview between the interviewer and Phong about the Vietnamese Tet holiday. - Skills: Listening, reading, writing - Teaching aids: Posters, pictures, loudspeaker B. Procedure I. Warm up: Matching - Teacher sticks the pictures of holidays on the board and asks Ss to match the pictures to the words phrases. 1. Easter Day 2. Christmas Day 3. Thanksgiving Day 4. New Year’s Day * Set the scene - Teacher sets the scene by asking Ss about the picture - What is Phong doing? –He’s having an interview. - What is the interview about?- It’s about Vietnamese Tet Holiday. II.
