Students’: text book, note book III. METHODS, TECHNIQUES 1. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by practising 2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson Ask ss to talk about some problems of the migrants from country to the city - Overcrowding in many cities - Increased population - Not enough schools or hospitals - Water and electricity supplies may not be adequate. - Families have to live apart 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - Ask students to put the outline for an informal letter in the correct order. 1. Heading +) Writer's address. +) Date 2. Opening 3. Body of letter. 4. Closing - Introduce the new lesson Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills - Ask ss to tell the form of leter. - Ask students to work in pairs to answer the questions in exercise 2 a- I live in a small town/ big city / village . b- My house looks very nice / small with 4/5 rooms and a nice/small garden. c- From my bedroom window, I can see a small park with many green trees and colorful flowers. d- I t 's far from my home so I have to r ide my bike.( It 's very near so I can walk ) e- There is a park / a swimming pool / some restaurants , a post office / a library. f- I like the park best because I can walk with my sisters after dinner / every morning. ( I like the library best because I can read many interesting books , or study or learn how to use the computer there.) Activity 3. Practice - Ask students to write letters to friends about their neighborhood. - Call some Ss to read their letters. (Writer’s address) (Date) Dear....... I live in a small town. My family has a large house with four rooms and a small garden. My sister and I share one bedroom. From the bedroom window, I can see a beautiful park with green trees, flowers and a pond. We don't live far from my school so I usually walk there. In my neighborhood, there is a swimming pool and a beautiful park. On the weekend, I often go swimming with my friends. Early in the morning, I always jog with my sister around the park. But the thing I like best in my neighborhood is the public library near my school. There I not only can study and read books but also watch video and learn how to use the computer. Do you have a library like that in your neighborhood?
