Skills: listening and reading skills 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and problem solving ability. b. Specilized capacity: language capability II. PREPARATION 1. Teacher’s: lesson plan, text book 2. Students’: text book, note book III. METHODS, TECHNIQUES 1. Methods: Communicative approach, discussion group,. 2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson No checking 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up- Getting started Ask students to look at the pictures in the text book and work in pairs match the names of the countries in the box with appropriate pictures/flags. Call on some students to go to the board and do exercise. To correct: a. The United state of America d. Britain b. Australia e. Canada c. Thailand f. Japan - Ask ss to work in pairs: Tell your partner which country you would like to visit. Eg: S1: Which country do you like to visit? S2: I like to visit Britain. - Call some pairs perfom in front of class - T and others give comments. Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills - Asking students look at the pictures and answer the following questions + Who are they in the picture? + What are they doing?Where are they? + Can you guess, what they are talking about? - T sets the scene : Mrs Quyen is going to the USA for a vacation, she is ringing her friend, Mrs Smith to tell her about the trip. - Ask students to listen to the tape in once - T explains some new words follow (v): theo tour (n): chuyến du lịch included (v): bao gồm come over (v): xâm chiếm business meeting (n): cuộc họp abroad (adv): ở nước ngoài pick (someone) up (v): đón ai đó *Grammar - Progressive tense with always (express the complain) Eg. T gives somes statement to decide them following situation: a, "Would you like to come and stay with us while you're in town" b, "Yes,we'd love to but we'll be in it for 3 days" c, "...You must come over for dinner at night" d, "Oh dear.
