Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson Ask ss question: What did you eat and drink yesterday? 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - Chatting with ss What do you like to eat? Do you like eating sugar? How much do you eat? - Introduce the new lesson Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills B2. Listen and read. Then answer the questions - T asks ss to look at the exercise and explains the request of the exercise - T asks: What do you have for breakfast/ lunch/ dinner? What do you think about a balanced diet? - T reads the text, ss listen - T gives some new words and structurest an amount of (n): số lượng a diet (n): chế độ ăn kiêng balanced (adj): cân bằng moderate (adj): vừa phải energy (n): năng lượng (to) effect (v): ảnh hưởng lifestyle (n): lối sống dairy product (n): sản phẩm sữa *Grammar: - Review Why/ Why not- Because - Review past simple tense Activity 3. Practice - T reads the text again and ss listen and repeat - Ask ss read the text - Call some ss read the text before class - T ask ss read the text again and do exercise: True/ False statements a. Eating sugar in moderate amounts can give us energy and make you feel less hungry. b. Balanced diet means you eat a variety of food without eating too much of enything. c. Balanced diet alone enough for a healthy lifestyle. d. Moderation is not important. e. We all need do exercise. - Ss work in pairs - Ask them to compare with their partner - Call ss to give the answers, others give comment - T give the correct answer keys a- T b- T c- F d- F e- T Activity 4. Further practice - Ss answer three questions in the book in group of three. - Call some ss give the answer - T and others give comments, correct. Activity 5. Expanding Remind all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home. V. HOMEWORK Learn by heart all new words and structures.
