Check the old lesson - Ss ask and answer about their favorite clothes. 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - Have Ss play a game : Palmaris come , improve , wore , came , received , improved , receive , wear , teach , taught - Demonstrate the group which is winner . Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills . B1.Listen. Then practice with a partner. a. Pre-listening. - Ask Ss to look at the picture and guess what they are doing . - Introduce : Lan and Hoa are friends . they are talking . Now you listen to the tape and tell me what they are talking about . - Play the tape for Ss . - Explain some new words to Ss : - Have Ss read new words in chorus and individually . - Checking technique : Rub out and remember . b. While-listening: - Ask Ss to listen to the tape again then answer the question . - Correct and give the correct answer : They are talking about Hoa’s hair , dress . - Ask Ss to listen to the tape and read after the tape . - Have Ss work in pairs reading the dialogue. - Call on some pairs to practice the dialogue in front of the class . - Ask Ss to read the dialogue again and find out the answers for the questions . - Have Ss work in pairs . - Call on some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class . - Correct and give the correct answers : a) She is a hairdresser . b) She is a dressmaker c. Post-listening: - Ask Ss to retell the content of the dialogue. Activity 3: Practice: B2. Answer. - Introduce the form of short answers . - Make model sentences : + Did Hoa buy the dress ? No, she didn’t . + Did her aunt cut her hair ? Yes , she did . Activity 4: Exercise: - Ask Ss to practice in pairs using the information in the dialogue . - Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class . - Remark . * With fail students: Ask sts write it on their notebooks. Activity 5. Consolidation T repeats the content of the lesson. V. While – listening. - Call on some Ss to read the passage aloud . - Ask Ss to read the passage again and find out the answers for the questions . - Have Ss work in pairs . - Call on some pairs to ask and answer in front of the class . - Correct and give the correct answers a) She learned how to use a sewing machine . b) She made a cushion for her armchair first . c) It was blue and white . d) Next , she made a skirt . e) It was green with white flowers on it . f) It looked very pretty . g) She tried it on but it didn’t fit . h) Hoa’s neighbor helped her . i) Finally, It fitted very well. c. Post – reading. - Repeat the form of Wh- questions : Wh- + did + S + Verb.? EX: Where did you buy this shirt ? I bought it in the shop . What did you do last night ? I watched TV . - Ask Ss to work in pairs asking and answering using Wh – questions. Activity 3: Practice: B4. Write . Put the verbs in brackets in the simple past tense . a. Pre - writing: - Introduce the aim of the exercise to Ss . - Ask Ss to read the sentences . b. While - writing: - Ask them to complete the sentences with the form of the verbs in the past simple tense . - Have Ss exchange the results with the partners . - Call on some Ss to go to the board and write down . - Correct and give the correct answer : Watched – bought – cut – used – decided – was – made – was – wasn’t – helped – fitted Activity 4: Exercise: c. Post - writing: - Ask Ss write some example sentences in past simple tense. * With fail students: Ask sts write it on their notebooks. Activity 5. Consolidation T repeats the content of the lesson.
