While - reading:

- Ss practice reading silently, then check their prediction.
- Call some Ss to read the passage aloud.
Pair works:

S1: How old is her father?
S2: He is forty. (and so on with other questions.)
- T. limits time and checks some pairs of ss.
- Call 4 Ss to write the answers on the board while the others do it orally.
- T corrects the wrong answers.
Post - reading:
Transformation writing:
- Ss transform the sentences in C1 P.38 with the information in C2 P.39 to
write about Song’s family.
Song’s a student and he is twelve. There are four people in Song’s family: his
father, his mother, his sister and him. His father’s name is Kien. He is forty- two and
he’s a doctor. His mother’s name is Oanh. She is thirty- nine years old and she is a
nurse. His sister’s name is Lan. She is fifteen and she is a student.
