While - reading: - Ss listen through the tape twice. - Ss practice reading silently, then check their prediction. - Call some Ss to read the passage aloud. Pair works: S1: How many people are there in her family? S2: There are four. S1: How old is her father? S2: He is forty. (and so on with other questions.) - T. limits time and checks some pairs of ss. - Call 4 Ss to write the answers on the board while the others do it orally. - T corrects the wrong answers. Post - reading: Transformation writing: - Ss transform the sentences in C1 P.38 with the information in C2 P.39 to write about Song’s family. Song’s a student and he is twelve. There are four people in Song’s family: his father, his mother, his sister and him. His father’s name is Kien. He is forty- two and he’s a doctor. His mother’s name is Oanh. She is thirty- nine years old and she is a nurse. His sister’s name is Lan. She is fifteen and she is a student. V. CONSOLIDATION Student Jobs Teacher - Remind Ss the way to write a full passage. VI . There are twenty –eight. - Pairs work: S1: How many people are there in your family? S2: There are (four). - T. limits the time and asks Ss to practice with the real things around their classroom. - T checks some pairs of ss. 2.3. Question words: - T gives some question words. What, where, How, How many, who - T gives some questions: What is your name? What is this? How old are you? Exercise 6 (page 41) - Do the gap filling. - Ss practice orally. V.
