New lesson: Activity 1: Warm - up: Chatting Activity 2: Acquire new skills and knowledge a. Introduction: Introduce the exercise. b. Presentation: - Use: to express the habitual action. - Form: I / We / You / They / Plural N + V + O He / She / It / Singular N + Vs/es + O - Examples: I work for that company. Dogs bark. He smokes a lot. She often carries heavy things. 2. Present perfect tense a) Form + I / you / we / they have + PII He / she / it has - S + haven't + PII hasn't ? (Tôi vừa mới lau nhà) Ex : - Have you seen Lan today ? - No, I haven't. + Diễn tả hành động đã xảy ra trong quá khứ nhưng thời điểm không rõ ràng, đi với already (đã rồi), recently, lately (gần đây), before (trước kia). Ex: - He's already done his homework. - I've seen this film 3 times before. (Tôi đã 3 lần xem bộ phim này trước đây) Ex: - Have you met your new teacher yet ? - No, we haven't met her yet. f. Diễn tả hành động bắt đầu trong quá khứ và kéo dài đến hiện tại , đi với since, for, up to now , so far (cho tới bây giờ), - for + khoảng thời gian - since + mốc thời gian 3. Past simple tense a) Form: + S + Ved/Virregular - S + didn’t +Vinfi yes, S+ did ? Did + S + Vinfi No, S+ didn’t Wh/ How + did +S +V? b) Use: Simple past tense is used to express the past events, not now. Note about Adv: yesterday, ago ........ 4. Past progressive tense - Elicit model sentences from students: “Ba was taking a shower at 8 o’clock last night.” “They were talking to each other at that time.” - Form : Past progressive tense: Was/ were + Ving - Use: To indicate an action that was in progress at a point of time in the past - Elicit the model sentences from students “The Le family was sleeping when the mailman came. past continuous Past simple - Form: Main Clause When/While Adv clause Past continuous Past simple Past simple Past continuous - Use: Sequence of tenses: An action was taking place in the past when another action took place. 5. Future simple tense a) Use - to talk about the actions which will happen in the future b) Forms + S + will + V( infi) + ... - S + will + not + V(infi) + ... ? Will + S + V(infi) + ...? c) Examples: - I will play soccer tomorrow c. Practice: Activity 3: Practice - Sts listen to the teacher and do the exercise Put the suitable forms of the verbs in the brackets: 1, What .you (do)last weekend? 2, I (visit)my grandparents 3, Lan and Mai (be) ..penpals for nearly 5 years 4, I used (drive)in a big city when I was young 5, Hoa ( know) ....a little English, so she (wish)she(can)..speak It fluently. 6, I am used to (drive)..in a big city so I’m not afraid of Policeman Activity 4: Further practice: Ex1: Tìm lỗi sai và sửa: 1. He said that he likes that song. 2. Martin asked me how was I. 3. I like to learn English. 4. He enjoys to studying Math. 5. He is a well soccer player. Activity 5: Expanding - T. reminds all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home. - Learn by heart the new words - Do the exercises again in the work book. V. INTRUCTION FOR NEXT LESSON PREPARATION - Learn by heart the grammar. - Do exercise again . Learn your lesson at home - Prepare the next lesson: From Unit1 to Unit 4 .
