A. Aims
By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to review what language items they
have learnt from unit 4 to unit 6
- Teaching aids: poster, pictures
- Skills: Speaking, writing, listening, reading
B. Procedure
I. Presentation/practice
1. Pronunciation
- Explain to Ss that listening to and reading tongue twisters aloud is a good and
funny way to improve their pronunciation
- Ask Ss if they know what sound the first tongue twister is practicing for and
then
First : /i/ and /i:/
Second: /t/ and /st/
Third : /s/ and /∫/
- Play the recording and ask Ss to listen
- Have Ss practice the tongue twisters individually then in pairs
- Get the volunteers to say the tongue first and then others
2. Vocabulary
- Find in the box the opposite of the words
- Ss do the task individually first and then play the game " Race to the board
+ Copy the adjectives lists to the board ( one copy for each team )
+ Ask 10 sts / each team to stand facing to the board
+ When they hear a signal sound from T they will take turns to write the
opposite on the board as quickly as they can
+ The fastest team with the most correct answers will win
* Choose the correct word for each of the definition
- Ask Ss to close their books and listen to the T reading the definition first
- Ask Ss to guess the words
- Note their words on the board
- Ask Ss to open the books and do the task
- Check, correct

3. Grammar
a. Comparison
- Rewrite the sentences using comparative or superlative of the adj in 2 above
- Do the first sentence as an example

- Ask Ss to identify the adjective ( cold ) and ask them to give the opposite
- Elicit the new sentence beginning with the subject “Viet Nam”
- Ask Ss to come to the board to write down their sentence
- Check, correct

c. A car is often more expensive than a motorbike
