PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson 3. New lesson a. The tenses : - Present simple - Present progressive - Simple future - Near future - Past simple => Ask Ss to repeat the uses and forms of each tense b. Exercise : Change these sentences into other tenses ( Present simple , Present progressive , Simple future and Past simple ) and add appropriate adverbs of time . 1. She is in Grade 7 2. They are playing soccer 3. She went to Ha Noi last week 4. I will visit my sister next week 5. Mai is going to build a new house . - Ask Ss to work in pairs - Call on some pairs to demonstrate in front of class . - Give feedback IV.CONSOLIDATION - Repeat the tenses V. She wasn’t old enough to be in my class 2. Skills: listening and reading 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. New lesson: Getting started: - Ask Ss to look at the picture in the text book and answer the questions: T: What are they doing? S: They are playing soccer .......................................... - Guide Ss to match each object with its name in group of 4. - Call some Ss to read their form in front of the class. - Give the comment. Then give new words. Listen and read: - Ask Ss to look at the picture and answer the question: What are they doing? - Introduce the context/ content of the dialogue. - Let Ss to listen to the tape once. Then give new words. - Ss practice the dialogue in pairs. - Call some pairs to practice in front of the class. - Guide Ss to do exercise: Decide who did and said each of the things. - Call some Ss to check their answers. - Give the correct answers IV. CONSOLIDATION: - Retell the contents of the lesson: new words and the structure V. HOMEWORK - Practice the dialogue. - Prepare Unit 1: Speak + Listen ______________________________________________________ Preparing date: 8/ 9 / 2020 Teaching date: 11/ 9/ 2020 ( 8A3 ) UNIT 1: MY FRIENDS Period 3: Speak + Listen I. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: - By the end of the lesson ss will be able to describe people and respond to introductions * Vocabulary: blond, curly, fair, slim, straight, bald. * Grammar: - The present simple (review) - Hướng dẫn trật tự của tính từ. 2. Skills: speaking and listenimg 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and problem solving ability. b. Specilized capacity: language capability II. PREPARATION 1. Pre-speaking. - Introduce and explain the context in the lesson. - Ask Ss to read the dialogue and answer the question: Who are calling? - Retell the structures: He is tall and thin. He has short black hair - Call some pairs to practice in front of the class. - Give the new words While-speaking: - Ask Ss to make the similar dialogue. - Guide Ss to make the dialogue. - Call some Ss to read the dialogue in front of the class. - Give the comment. Then give the correct answers. Post-speaking: - Guide Ss to make the similar dialogue at home. Pre- listening: - Introduce and explain the context in the listening. - Ask Ss to read the form in the text book. - Give new words. While-listening: - Ss listen to write the missing information. - Let Ss to share their answers with their partner. - Call some Ss to check their answers. - Give the correct answers. Post-listening: - Guide Ss to make the similar form at home. IV. CONSOLIDATION: - Retell the contents of the lesson, new words and the structure. V. HOMEWORK - Make the similar dialogue - Prepare Unit 1: Read Hair
