Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson In the lesson 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - Chatting with ss - Introduce the new lesson Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills 1. Ss review vocabularies they have learnt 2. Structure a. Passive form Tenses Passive forms Present simple S + am/ is/ are + V p.p.............. Past simple S + was/ were + V p.p.............. Future simple S + will/ shall + be + V p.p.......... Eg. Bao opens the door. The door is opened by Bao. Bao opened the door. The door was opened by Bao. Bao will open the door. The door will be opened by Bao. b. Adjectives followed by an infinitive or a noun clause Adj + to – infinitive Example: It’s difficult to get a good job Adj + a noun clause Eg: I’m happy that you gave me a postcard on the occasion of tet holiday. c. Make requests Would/Do you mind + Ving Would you mind if + S + Ved. Do you mind if + S + Vpresent simple Eg. Do you mind turning off the radio? Would you mind opening the door? Do you mind if I leave the class? Would you mind if I stayed here for a few days? Activity 3. Practice Exercise 1. Change the sentences into passive form. 1. Lan cleans the floor every morning. 2. Cows and buffaloes eat grass. 3. My teacher corrected these mistakes. 4. I will shut the door if you like. Key 1. The floor is cleaned every morning by her. 2. Grass is eaten by Cows and buffaloes. 3. These mistakes were corrected by my teacher. 4. The door will be shut if you like. Exercise 2. Use “Would/Do you mind if.?” To make request 1. Shall I sit here? 2. Can I move the table to the right corner? 3. Could I smoke? 4. May I ask you a question? 5. Could I turn the air conditioner off? 6. Can I use your handphone? 7. Could I borrow your newspaper? Key 1. Do you mind if I sit here? 2. Would you mind if I moved the table to the right corner? 3. Would you mind I smoke? 4. Could you mind if I ask you a question? 5. Could you mind if I turn the air conditioner off? 6. Could you mind if I I use your handphone? 7. Could you mind if I borrow your newspaper? Activity 4. Expanding Remind all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home. V. HOMEWORK - Ss study the lesson - Ss prepare for next lesson. Test 45 minutes.
