I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to ask for information
at the post office. They will practice asking and answering about the price.

1. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities,
teaching methods by practising, discussion group,.
2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work
IV. PROCEDURE
1. Organization
- Greetings.
- Who’s absent today?
2. Check the old lesson
- Ask ss some questions
How far is it from your house to the market?
How many hours do we spend going from your house to the market?
- T gives comments and marks.
3. New lesson
Activity 1. Warm up
- Chatting with ss
Where do you often buy stamps?
Which services are supply at the post office?
- Introduce the new lesson.
Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills
- Ask Ss to look at the picture and introduce some services at the post
office such as sending letters, sending and receiving parcels, money, buying
envelopes, stamps .then explain some new words and structure

to pay (v): trả
change (n): tiền thừa
cost (n): chi phí
- Elicit and give the model sentences.

- Ask ss to make sentences, using the structures.
Activity 3. Practice
- Ask ss practice reading the dialogue in pair
- Call some pairs perform in front of class
- T corrects mistakes if necessary.
- Ss work in group: answer the question in page 83
- Call some ss go to the board and write the answer while others do orally.
- T gives answers
a. Liz will mail the letter to the USA
b. She pays 11,500 dong altogether
c. She receives 3.500 dong in change
Activity 4. Production
Ask ss to work in pair: ask and answer about the price of something in the class
Activity 5. Consolidation
T repeats the content of the lesson
IV. HOMEWORK
- Ss study the lesson
- Ss prepare for next lesson: Unit 8. B2.
