Check the old lesson - Give ss some objects. - Ask ss to practice asking and answering about their prices. - Correct mistakes and give mark. 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - T guides ss to play “Network”: What can you buy at the post office? Phone calls Buy stams/ envelopes at buy newspaper receiving letter, money sending/ receiving flowers At the post office Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills B2. Listen and read then answer the questions. - Ask ss to look at the picture in part 2 at page 84 and guess what Nga and Hoa want? - Ss feed back. - Introduce the situation of the dialogue: “you will hear a conversation between Nga and Hoa. They are on the way to post office and ask ss to compare their guess to the dialogue" and explain some new words. local stamp(n): tem thư trong nước overseas mail (n): thư gửi nươc ngoài regularly(adv): thường xuyên phone card (n): thẻ điện thoại - Introduce the model sentence + I'd like some local stamps and some stamps for overseas. + I need to buy a phone card. -> Would like + to – infinitive/ Noun -> Need to do st/ need st. -> want to do st - Question: Why? Exercise. Find and correct the mistake a. He wants to comes back home. b. I need going to the market. Activity 3. Practice - Ask ss to guess 3 things Hoa wants from the post office. - Call on some ss to give their predictions. - Write down on the sub- board. - Have ss look at the books and listen to the tape. - Ask ss to check their predictions. - Correct and give the correct answer: + Some local stamps. + Some stamps for oversea mail. + A phone card. - Have ss work in pairs reading the dialogue. - Call on some pairs to practice in front of the class. - Ask ss to read the dialogue again and answer the questions - Ss work in pair and answer the question - Call some ss go to the board and write the answer while others do orally - T corrects 1. Hoa needs some local stamps and some stamps for oversea mail and a phone card. 3. She needs stamps for oversaes mail because she has a penpal in America. 4. She needs a phone card to phone her parents once a week. Activity 4. Further practice Ss practice reading dialogue B2 and answer the questions again. Activity 5. Expanding Remind all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home. V. To be + S + N ? Yes, S+ tobe No, S+tobe + not. Eg. She is a teacher. She is not a teacher. Is she a teacher? – Yes, she is. Ordinary verb ( động từ thường) (+) S + V/ V(s/es) (I/ We/ They/ You/ Ns + V(inf) He/ She/ It/ N/ Lan + V(s/ es) (-) S + do/ does + not + V(inf) I/ You/ We/ They/ Ns + do He/ She/ It/ N/ Lan +does (?) Do/ Does + S + V(inf)? Yes, S+ do/does. No, S + do/ does + not. Eg: She likes English. She doesn't like English. Does she like English? Note: Khi chủ ngữ là số ít hoặc là HE, SHE, IT thì ta phải thêm “S” hoặc “ES” cho động từ. Với những động từ tận cùng là o, s, sh, ch, x, z, ta thêm “ES”, những trường hợp còn lại thêm “S”. Ví dụ: watch → watches, live → lives. Riêng động từ tận cùng bằng “Y” mà trước ý là một phụ âm thì ta đổi “Y” thành “I” rồi thêm ES. Ví dụ: study → studies, carry → carries, fly → flies. Câu hỏi có từ để hỏi (Question word) * Wh-question + do / does + V(inf)? What does he do in his free time? Trạng từ đi kèm - Always, usually, sometimes, occasionally, frequently, seldom, rarely, scarcel, never. - In the mornings - Every, once, twice, three times - Present progressive tense * Usage: Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói. * Form (+) S + tobe + V-ing ( I+ am You/ We/ They/ Ns + are He/ She/ It/ N + is) (- ) S + tobe + not + V-ing (?) Tobe + S + V-ing? Eg. He is playing soccer. He is not playing soccer. Is he playing soccer? * Wh-question + tobe + S + V-ing? Eg. Why are you learning English? Dấu hiệu nhận biết - Now, at the moment, at present - Dùng với các động từ : Look!, Listen!, Be careful!... để thu hút sự chú ý của người khác Eg. Look! The bus is coming. Activity 3. Dấu hiệu nhận biết - In the future, next..., tomorrow, someday - Dùng chỉ sự suy đoán tương lai, thường dùng sau : hope, think, expect, possibly, perhalps, sure... b. Prepositions * Preposition of position (giới từ chỉ vị trí) In (trong), in front of (phía trước), on (trên), behind (phía sau), next to (bên cạnh), between (ở giữa), to the left (bên trái), to the right (bên phải), near (gần), under (phái dưới), at the back (of) ( phía sau cái gì), in the middle (of) (ở giữa)....... * Preposition of time (giới từ chỉ thời gian) 1.
