- Positive about their lesson.

- Students know how to learn English.

- Ss are interested in doing exercises.

a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and

problem solving ability.

b. Specilized capacity: language capability

1. Teacher’s: lesson plan, text book

2. Students’: text book, note book

III. METHODS, TECHNIQUES

1. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities,

teaching methods with game, teaching methods by practising.

2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work

Date of teaching : Period 45- Unit 8. OUT AND ABOUT What are you doing? (A2-3) I. OBJECTIVES 1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson students will be able to practice present progressive tense to ask and answer about actions happening. *Vocabulary: Review * Grammar: Review present progressive tense “What are you doing?” 2. Skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson - T asks ss to remind the present progressive tensẹ and make examples S + be + V-ing - T corrects. 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up - Divide the class into 3 groups - Each group will go to the board and write the verb in part A1 - Within 3 minutes, the group which has more verbs will be the winner. Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills A2. Ask and answer questions From 4 questions in the book, T gives structure What + tobe + S + doing?- S + tobe + V-ing. Activity 3. Practice - T guides ss to do exercise A2. - Ss look at the pictures, ask and answer the questions about all the people in the pictures A1. - Have ss work in pairs to practice - Call some pairs to perform in front of class - T corrects mistakes in pronunciation + What is he doing? He is driving his car. + What is she doing? She is riding her bike. + What are they doing? They are walking to school. + What are you doing? I am studying English. Activity 4. Production A3. Answer. Then write the answers in your exercise book - T shows the picture of A3 and explains the request of exercise. - Ss look at the pictures and say what they are doing. - Ss work in pairs. - Some pairs of ss practice aloud. Some ss write the questions and answers on the board. - T gives answer key. Ss copy in the exercise book. a. I am learning English. b. She is riding her bike. c. He is driving his car. d. They are waiting for a bus. Activity 5. Consolidation Ss repeats the present progressive tense IV. HOMEWORK - Ss study the lesson - Ss prepare for next lesson. Unit 8. B1.
