Knowledge: By the end of the lesson students will be able to describe the action that is happening at the same time of speaking. *Vocabulary: ride, drive, wait for, play video games * Grammar: Thì hiện tại tiếp diễn (câu khẳng định) 2. Skills: Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills 3. Attitudes: - Positive about their lesson. - Students know how to learn English. - Ss are interested in doing exercises. 4. Competence a. General capacity: self – study, communicative and collaborative, and problem solving ability. b. Specilized capacity: language capability II. PREPARATION 1. Teacher’s: lesson plan, text book 2. Students’: text book, note book III. METHODS, TECHNIQUES 1. Methods: Communicative approach, group Ss and T’s activities, teaching methods with game, teaching methods by practising. 2. Techniques: Eleciting, group work, pair work, individual work IV. PROCEDURE 1. Organization - Greetings. - Who’s absent today? 2. Check the old lesson No checking 3. New lesson Activity 1. Warm up Network car motorbike train Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills A1. Listen and repeat - Ask ss to look at the pictures and say what they are doing. - Ask ss to listen to the T 2 times and repeat. Mean of transport - Let ss guess the meaning of new words by the pictures. - T teaches new words dide (v): đi xe drive (v): lái xe wait for (v): đợi play video games (v): chơi điện tử *Grammar: Present progressive tense - T asks Ss to make sentences in the simple present. - Ss make the sentences and compare with present progressive. Compare: He plays video games everyday./ He is playing video games. - T explains how to use present progressive and the structure. * Usage: Diễn tả một hành động đang xảy ra tại thời điểm nói. * Form (+) S + tobe + V-ing ( I+ am You/ We/ They/ Ns + are He/ She/ It/ N + is) Eg. He is playing soccer. Note: + ride=> riding, drive=> driving Activity 3. Practice - Ss practice reading all sentences in the picture - Call ss read aloud - T corrects mistakes. Activity 4. Production Give correct form of verb in present progressive tense 1. He (play) ................................. games. 2. I (listen) ................................. to music. 3. They (wait)............................ for a bus. 4. He (wash)........................................ his face. Activity 5. Consolidation T repeats the content of the lesson. IV. HOMEWORK - Learn by heart new words and new structures. - Prepare for next lesson: A2-3.
