1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson students will be able to understand and practice with the comparative and superlative of adjectives, tell something about some famous cities in the world.
* Vocabulary: building, twin towers
* Grammar: Comparative and superlative with short adjectives
2. Skills: listening, reading and speaking skills
3. Attitudes:
- Positive about their lesson.
- Students know how to learn English.
- Ss are interested in doing exercises.

I. OBJECTIVES
1. Knowledge: By the end of the lesson students will be able to understand and practice with the comparative and superlative of adjectives, tell something about some famous cities in the world.

* Grammar: Comparative and superlative with short adjectives

Ask ss some questions
Where are you from?
What is your nationality?
Which language do you speak?
3. New lesson
Activity 1. Warm up
- Chatting with ss
- Introduce the new lesson.
Activity 2. New form of knowledge skills
B1. Listen and repeat
- T shows the pictures B1
- Ss look at the pictures and compare them
- T plays the disk. Ss listen and repeat
- T explains the meaning of three comparatives.

- T presents new grammar.
* Grammar
- Qui tắc so sánh hơn của tính từ ngắn
S1 + be + adj –er + than + S2
Eg: I am taller than my sister.
My house is smaller than your house.
- Qui tắc so sánh hơn nhất của tính từ ngắn
S + be + the + adj – est
Eg: Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest city in Viet Nam.
* Note
- Tính từ ngắn là những tính từ có 1 âm tiết hoặc 2 âm tiết tận cùng bằng “y”
- Tính từ ngắn có 1 nguyên âm đứng giữa 2 phụ âm thì khi chuyển sang so sánh hơn hoặc hơn nhất phải gấp đôi phụ âm cuối lên.

- T gives out some adj, ss complete the table

Activity 3. Practice
B3. Listen and read. Then answer the questions
- T asks ss to call the name of somes famous towers
- T adds and presents some more.
Sears Tower: ở Chicago
Petronas Twin Tower: Tháp đôi ở Kualalumper
- Ask ss a question: Which is taller: Sears towers or Petronas Twin tower?
Petronas Twin Towers is taller than Sears Tower.
- T plays the disk, ss listen
- Ss read the text in silently and find out the high of two towers
+ Sears Tower is 442 meters high.
+ Petronas twin towers are 452 meters high.
Activity 4. Further practice
Ss use comparative and superlative to describe person and things in the class.
Activity 5. Expanding
- Remind all main points for ss. to remember and practice at home.
V. HOMEWORK
