R - Ss look at the picture and compare the two schools. - Prediction: ( Matching) While - reading: - Ss listen through the tapescript , then check their prediction. - Ss listen through the tapescript twice, then practice reading silently. - T. asks some Ss to read the two passages aloud. CONSOLIDATION - Teacher asks ss how to use possessive: * Danh từ sở hữu ‘s + danh từ bị sở hữu + This is my teacher’s book. + That is my friend’s ruler. + These are my friend’s pens. * Notes: - We say: My friends’ pens. (We don’t say: My friends’s pens.) - We say: The leg of the table (We can’t say: The table’s leg) * Teacher asks ss to point to the real things in class and say sentences in which they have to use possessive.
